Lighting The Third Space
As the club offers extensive facilities, including a Pilates studio, a boxing ring, a climbing wall, a spinning area, a swimming pool, and various treatment rooms, controlling the lighting effectively is an interesting challenge.
Control Lighting Ltd was called in to analyse and reconfigure the over designed lighting control options.
Firstly, we looked at how the use of natural daylight could reduce the usage of some of the expensive and redundant lighting settings.
Secondly, we replaced a faulty touchscreen control unit and, thirdly, we reprogrammed the very complicated touchscreen setup. We reconfigured the main lighting menu so that the staff could navigate easily between the different floor menus and the swimming pool menus.
Staff could then apply the best settings to each studio and fitness area and make minor adjustments as required.
